DONOR FAMILIES AT THE GAMES
The Australian Transplant Games are forever growing with more Australians touched by organ donation every year.
This year, we hope to welcome the largest contingent of donor families and living donors to the Games at the Gold Coast. We’ve developed a great schedule of activities with more events and sports than ever before.
JOIN IN THE OPENING CEREMONY
At every Games, donor family members and living donors participate in the Opening Ceremony Parade by marching behind a special Donor Family Banner. In a tribute to their loved ones, donor family members walk through an honour guard made up of grateful transplant recipients, it’s a beautiful way to celebrate their decision to donate.
Living Donors and donor families registered for the Games will receive a special t-shirt which they can wear throughout the Games.
DONOR FAMILY RECEPTION
The Donor Family Reception is exclusive to donor families and living donors – to welcome you all to the Australian Transplant Games. Details available soon.
