Building on the success of its 2024 Fundraising Gala, Body Buddies is partnering with Transplant Australia to host the 2025 Fundraising Gala, focusing on multicultural awareness for organ donation. This initiative addresses the critical need to improve organ donor sign-up rates among Australia’s multicultural communities, which historically have lower registration rates due to misinformation, cultural misconceptions, and limited awareness about organ donation.
About Body Buddies
Body Buddies is an Australian soft toy company created by award winning 24-year-old entrepreneur, Aayushi Khillan. Body Buddies sell plushies, keychains, stickers and other accessories in the shapes of adorable organ characters. Over the past 4 years, it has garnered international fame. On social media, it has accumulated over 36,000 followers and has raised over $150,000 for charity. Body Buddies has made over 3000 plushie sales and has won several awards. It won the 7News Young Achievers Award 2022 in the Healthy Living Category. It has also received the Australia Post Local Heroes and International Diana Award 2024 by the Royal Family.
