The Ball is a wonderful celebration of the Gift of Life and shines a spotlight on the importance of organ and tissue donation. Proceeds raised for Transplant Australia support those impacted by transplantation and to encourage more Australians to join the Australian Organ Donor Register.
Gordon Rutty is the man behind the Ball and the annual Walk to End The Wait. As an altruistic kidney donor, Gordon is passionate about helping others.
If you are unable to make it to the Ball but still want to support Gordon and Transplant Australia you can donate to his fundraiser by clicking on the button below. All donations over $2 are tax deductible.

“The aim of everything I do is to increase awareness of the need for those Australians who wish to donate their organs to register on the Australian Organ Donor Registry and ensure they have a conversation with their families about their wishes. Only one in three Australians are registered donors despite the majority(69%) believing that registering is important.
There are more than 1,800 Australians currently waitlisted for a transplant and more than 14,000additional people on dialysis—many who may need a kidney transplant. Now more than ever, we need more Australians to say “yes” to organ donation.”
