It’s back. One of the most inspirational gala balls on the Gold Coast each year – the Orange Ball.
The Ball is in honour of promoting organ and tissue donation. Proceeds raised will be used to build educational programs for living donors in Australia and to encourage more Australians to join the Australian Organ Donor Register.
Gordon Rutty is the man behind the Ball and the annual Walk to End The Wait. As an altruistic kidney donor, Gordon is passionate about helping others.

Only one in three Australians are registered donors despite the majority(69%) believing that registering is important.
There are more than 1,800 Australians currently waitlisted for a transplant and more than 14,000additional people on dialysis—many who may need a kidney transplant. Now more than ever, we need more Australians to say “yes” to organ donation.”
