Kickstart your comeback to physical activity with a Comeback Kickstart Subsidy and Activity Pack to help alleviate barriers to starting!  

Women and Girls who have received a transplant or cared for an immediate family member who has received a transplant within the last five years may be eligible to apply for a subsidy of up to $200 off their registration and participation costs PLUS a Kickstart Activity pack to help them on their way. See terms and conditions below;  

Subsidy Conditions

  • Applicants may apply for a subsidy (reimbursement) of up to $200 to cover costs already incurred within the relevant funding period (as per below).
  • Applicants may apply for more than one (1) category up to the total value of $800 within one funding period however priority will be given to spread the total funding pool across the maximum number of applicants possible.  
  • Applicants are eligible to apply in each funding period for new expenses that have been incurred however priority will be given to participants who have not received a subsidy previously to spread the total funding pool across the maximum number of applicants possible.      

Subsidy Eligibility

  • Female by gender or identity.  
  • Full Transplant Australia member (free membership) 
  • Have received, or cared for an immediate family member who has received a transplant within the last five years (since 1 Jan 2021).  
  • Willing to share story with Transplant Australia media team.
  • Must be able to provide evidence of the expense that has already been incurred within the funding period to the amount or exceeding the value of the grant ($200) via formal tax receipt from the activity provider.

Subsidy Scope

  • Reimbursement of 2026/2027 organised sport registration and/or official uniform costs.  
  • Reimbursement of Australian recognised National Sporting Organisation coaching and/or refereeing registrations and accreditation costs.
  • Reimbursement of gym membership (must show receipts or contract of full expenditure within the funding period).
  • Reimbursement of official entry fees (excluding travel/accommodation etc) to Australian based mass participation or sporting events (e.g. Running Festivals, Ocean Swims, Fitness Races, Australian Transplant Games etc.).
