Exclusive Screening for the transplant community.
Ahead of its much-anticipated World Premiere later this month, The Periscope Crew was proud to share ‘Everywhere’ with the transplant community at an exclusive screening at Parliament House, in Canberra as part of the Australian Transplant Games.
‘Everywhere’ follows the remarkable journey of The Periscope Crew, a film crew of passionate young people with disabilities, as they take on their biggest challenge – capturing the ‘essence of the World Transplant Games in Perth last year.
Engaged by Transplant Australia to produce additional footage and content, they exceeded expectations, forging deep connections with transplant athletes and donor families from Australia and around the world.
With their unique perspectives and infectious spirit, The Periscope Crew captured untold stories, showing the world the powerful impact of the gift of life.
The evening rekindled friendships first formed at the World Games and introduced The Periscope Crew to an audience that included representatives from the Organ & Tissue Authority, the Office for Sport, the Australian Sports Commission and the Australian Sporting Alliance for People with a Disability.
Transplant Australia CEO Chris Thomas welcomed everyone stating Transplant Australia was extremely proud to give these extraordinary Australians a chance at proving themselves. He then introduced cast member Madison Heady and Co-Director Kate Ellen Campbell who shared their personal reflections of the World Games and the inspiration behind the film.
The documentary moved the audience to laughter, tears and a standing ovation – a tribute to the Crew’s dedication, and the pride and gratitude felt by so many in the room.
Audience reactions:
