Transplant Australia is pleased to announce the establishment of four advisory groups to support our work in representing our community.
If you possess a connection to organ and tissue donation or transplantation, whether as a recipient, a living donor, a donor family member, or someone with expertise or a special interest in the field, we are inviting expressions of interest to be a part of these Advisory Groups.
In line with the Board’s strategic plan, these groups will provide an important avenue for individuals with diverse perspectives to contribute valuable insights, expertise and recommendations and help shape Transplant Australia’s programs and initiatives.
Four Advisory Groups have been established, each addressing a key focus of Transplant Australia’s work. Each group will provide support and advice to management on their specific area of expertise:
- Advocacy
- Donation and transplantation policy and research
- Government and regulatory authority submissions
- Funding and partnership opportunities.
- Medical
- Medical advances in transplantation and donation
- Research promotion
- Position papers on donation and transplantation matters
- Community Support & Education
- Programs to support people throughout their transplant journey.
- Paediatric resources
- Living donation programs
- Mental wellbeing
- Transplant Sports
- Australian Transplant Games
- Transplant Active programs
- Sporting pathways
- Funding and partnerships
