Transplant Australia Chair Jason Ryan has thanked Holly Tyrrell for her seven years contribution as a Director of Transplant Australia following her resignation from the Board this month.
Holly brought her immense sport expertise to the Board as well as her understanding of tissue transplantation having received corneal transplants in 2010 and 2011.
She helped shape Transplant Australia as a National Sporting Organisation with a Disability providing it with further respect and recognition to the Australian Sports Commission. Holly represented Transplant Australia on the Board of the Australian Sporting Alliance for People with a Disability.
More recently Holly worked with fellow Director, Colin Liebmann and CEO Chris Thomas on the development of Transplant Australia’s new strategic plan.
Jason thanked Holly for help commitment to our cause and her insights and enthusiasm to help improve Transplant Australia. Jason added, “ Holly was an exemplary director constantly going above the expected level of leadership; always rolling up her sleeves to help staff members and volunteers to be the best they could be. Outstanding.”
Holly thanked her fellow Board members and for the Chair and CEO giving her an opportunity to undertake her first directorship. She explained family commitments meant she could no longer continue at this point in time but hoped to stay involved with Transplant Australia in years to come.
