On Saturday 8 August 2026, Movie World was transformed into a sea of orange as The Pride of Bettermen & Lionesses hosted the sixth annual Orange Ball. They brought the Gold Coast community together for an unforgettable evening in support of three charities: Transplant Australia, Tandem Cycling Network and Inspiring Brighter Futures Foundation.
From the moment guests arrived, the evening was filled with energy and celebration, with Movie World’s precinct illuminated in orange and special appearances from favourite Movie World characters setting the scene for a memorable night.
For Transplant Australia, the Orange Ball is an important opportunity to shine a light on the life-changing impact of organ and tissue donation.
Every day, transplantation gives people the opportunity to live, dream and make memories they may never have thought possible. The generosity of organ and tissue donors and their families makes this second chance possible, which is why continuing the conversation about donation is so important.
Events like the Orange Ball help us share that message with new audiences while bringing people together to support the transplant community.
