The World Transplant Games are an amazing way to celebrate organ donation on the world stage, represent your country and make friendships and memories to last a lifetime.

Athletes competing at the World Transplant Games have one thing in common; they’ve all had a successful organ transplant. By taking part, they join athletes from over 55 countries who compete at the largest sporting event for transplant recipients in the world.

The World Transplant Games are held every two years in different cities. Staged by the World Transplant Games Federation, the Games unite thousands of transplant recipients from across the globe.

The next World Transplant Games will be held from the 16th -23rd of August 2025 in Dresden, Germany. Registrations are expected to open in late January 2025.

The Australian Team

Transplant Australia is excited to be preparing the Australian team for the 2025 World Transplant Games to be held in Dresden, Germany.

Transplant Australia, as the official country representative to the World Transplant Games Federation and recognised by the Australian Government as a National Sporting Organisation with a disability, is responsible for sending the Australian team to the World Transplant Games

Registrations are now open for the World Transplant Games in Dresden, 2025.

There is a Participants Registration Handbook available for download HERE to assist you with the registration process.

Registrations close on 31 May 2025 – No late registrations will be accepted by WTG2025 after this date.
