The 12th World Transplant Winter Games are coming to the picturesque town of Bormio, Italy, from March 3rd to 8th, 2024. Nestled in the breathtaking alpine setting, Bormio, a renowned winter sports destination and future host of the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympic Olympics, the Games promises an unforgettable experience for athletes, supporters, and spectators alike. The World Transplant Winter Games, featuring a wide range of disciplines, from skiing to curling, will create lasting memories and unique experiences.

  • Sunday 3 – Friday 8 March, 2024
  • Bormio, Italy
  • Open to all transplant recipients. For the first time, all events are open to living donors and donor families, except for team events other than curling.

Early Bird Packages for the 2024 World Transplant Winter Games have been extended by one week and
will now close on Monday 27th November 2023. 

Early Bird payment:  Invoices will be sent by Transplant Australia to individual team members requesting 30% payment due by December 6, 2023, with balance of payment due on January 15.

REGISTRATION:

Early bird registration is now open and closes on 27th November 2023.

Registration includes 5 nights accommodation, transfers, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and opening and closing ceremony.

Registration does not include ski pass, equipment rental, beverages and extras plus city tax.

SKI PASSES & EQUIPMENT HIRE

Ski passes are required for all Alpine events.  No ski passes are required for Nordic events.  For more information about ski passes click here.

Competitors may either bring their own equipment or rent it on arrival in Bormio.  Please note that helmets are mandatory for all Alpine events as well as Nicholas Cup.

GETTING TO BORMIO:

Flying to Milan is closest airport, transfers to and from Bormio are included in the Registration Packs.

VISAS

Australia is one of 60 countries granted visa-free travel to Italy and other Schengen countries for a maximum of 90 days within any 180-day period. Your passport must be valid for at least three months after your intended departure date, and you may be required to show documentation justifying the reason for your stay and your date of departure.
