On Monday, March 17 we held a teleconference with all Transplant Australia State Committee Chairs. It was agreed that all state events would be cancelled for the next three months as we try to help our members and their families through the Coronavirus Pandemic.
The clear message at the moment is for everyone to take the advice of their treating physicians and the general advice for the Australian public. If advice more specific to transplant recipients is issued, we will alert you immediately.
In relation to the Australian Transplant Games (due September 2020) we have already advised you that the Board will make a determination in May if it can proceed or whether it needs to be postponed? For the moment please do not book any flights in relation to the Games.
We have also suspended registration until the future is clearer.
Our thoughts are with everyone, your families and especially your older relatives at this time.
