We’re making a change to Membership – here’s what it means for you.
At Transplant Australia, staying connected with our members is at the heart of what we do. Over the first half of 2026 we have been working to review our membership services and the platforms we use to connect with and support members. A key element of this service is the technology platform that powers our membership database. Out of this review we are proud to announce that we’re moving to a new membership platform through GameDay, replacing our previous system, MemNet.
Your existing membership record has been migrated across to the new platform automatically, however, because some records haven’t been updated in a while, there’s a chance a few details may be out of date. We’re asking every member to log in once the platform goes live and give their details a quick refresh.
Why we’re making the change.
The 2026 Membership Review looked at how we could modernise and simplify membership and update our technology to improve both organisational efficiency and the member experience. Moving to GameDay gives us improved data management and security capabilities, and a more reliable way to deliver the invitations, newsletters, and program information that matter to you.
What we’re doing next.
From Wednesday 5 August, we’ll be emailing members with a simple link to refresh your member details. It takes just a couple of minutes, and is your opportunity to ensure we can represent you as a member as accurately as possible.
We’ll send a couple of friendly reminders over the following weeks for anyone who hasn’t had the chance to refresh their details yet, with members who complete the refresh of their details by the end of August going into the draw to win 1 of 5 $100 visa digital gift cards.
What you need to do.
Keep an eye out for our email in the next week, and when it arrives, click through and create a profile with Game Day (or log-in if you already have a GameDay profile after registering for the Games or with another sporting organisation).
For existing members, your details will already be there and should be matched through your email address, but please take a couple of minutes to refresh your data to check everything’s correct and update anything new.

Key Transplant Australia membership changes in 2026
- New membership system
We’re transitioning from MemNet to the GameDay platform, bringing improved data management and data capture capabilities. All existing member records have been migrated across automatically, but as some data hasn’t been updated in a while, there may be errors. We encourage all members to log in and refresh their details as soon as possible.
You may have noticed our progressive change to the GameDay platform as the registration portal for the 2026 Australian Transplant Games. If you refreshed your membership in GameDay in order to register for the 2026 Games – you are already one step ahead!
- Simplified membership categories and processes
To ensure Transplant Australia is best equipped to represent our members in support services and the advocacy we do, we have simplified the membership categories and refined the data we collect with best practice standards.
We have “Family membership” category to ensure accurate individual data and individual acknowledgment of Transplant Australia policies. Families can still register together and be attached to a parent email, but will be recognised in the database as individuals. Families will still only be charged one Activity Participation Levy if all family members are registered in the same transaction (separate transactions will trigger a new levy requirement).
The $60 Activity Participation Levy will still be effective for a 2-year period and has not increased in cost although will no longer be pro-rated over the 2-year activity period, effective from 1 July 2026. The Levy goes directly to your local State Committee and supports the work they do all year around. All members wishing to participate in State activities and/or national events and programs are required to renew their Activity Participation Levy for the 2026 to 2028 period now!
We’re also introducing a Lite Subscriber option, to provide more opportunities for our supporters to receive our communications without committing to a full membership just yet.
- Stronger focus on inclusion
The new database gives us broader capacity to support a wider membership, including healthcare professionals, along with an easier onboarding and renewal experience, and reduced administration when registering into official Transplant Australia activities.
