We were recently informed of a problem with some living donors and their life insurance. Some living donors were advised by their insurer that their premiums would be affected by virtue of being donors. We would like to know more about this issue. Specifically, we would like to know how common this experience is amongst living donors. If you are aware of your premiums being affected, please let us know and provide some details of the insurer, how much the premium is increased and anything else you think could be relevant.
We will review your responses and are currently considering how to take up the issue on your behalf.
