Transplant Australia would like to congratulate two of our favourite doctors – Professor Toby Coates and Professor Carol Pollock – for their recognition in this year’s Queen’s Birthday Honours. Both have contributed greatly to renal medicine and transplantation. Professor Pollock is the Deputy Chair of the Organ & Tissue Authority and Chair of Kidney Health Australia. Professor Coates is Immediate Past President of the Transplantation Society of Australia & New Zealand. Both are great leaders in their respective fields. However we are equally pleased because it is wonderful to see genuine hardworking Australians recognised in this way.
